I Have Discovered Something Quite Disturbing About Craig's List

Hi Everyone ~

I have discovered something quite disturbing about Craig's List. Apparently, Pet Boards....are being unfairly targeted by a flagging loop.
That means a group of 3 or more people (or 1 person with 3 CL accounts) takes it upon themselves to police Craig's List and flag posts they feel need to be removed based solely on their OPINION.

At present time, it takes only 3 flags/ flaggers to remove a post.
There's even a Yahoo "group" formed whose members sole purpose is to FLAG Craig's List Pets Boards posts for FUN!

Several Rescue Groups that I work with continually have their posts flagged for no good reason. I ask that if you are experiencing the same problem in your area, to copy the message below and post it on Craig's List under "Community Pets" on a regular basis. It will get flagged and removed, but there will be some people that will see it and e-mail Craig's List. I also ask that you also report this abuse to Craig's List. Please Help! Pets Lives are depending upon it.

**You can contact Craig's List directly via that link, and under "harassment" please tell them about the issue we have with abuse of flagging on the Philly Pets board of posts not in any violation of Craig's List Terms Of Use.

**Please ask to have repeat flaggers banned from flagging privileges.

**Ask them to please raise the number of flags/ alerts it takes to remove a post.

The MORE people who complain about the FLAGGING PROBLEM, the better, so please cross post and send to your Animal Support Friends.
